Queen Elizabeth National Park is Uganda’s most popular and biggest game park and is home to wildlife such as buffalo, elephant, lion, hippo, leopard, and many antelope species, plus no fewer than Primates like Chimpanzees at Kyambura Gorge and Kalinzu Forest. Our Safari Experiences take you on one of the most incredible journeys and guided game drives with our top safari guides around the biosphere, through lakes on a boat cruise along the Kazinga channel, which is the mainstream source of water around this area, and where you may spot hippo, Nile crocodile, and a number of bird species at the water’s banks of the channel.
Honey Bear Bush Camp
Honey Bear Bush Camp is full of character – chic, elegant, and sassy – and revives the pared-back romance of the classic safari experience. At last, a small and intimate camp within the national park boundaries of Queen Elizabeth!
A lot of thought went into creating this enchanting camp: On the south bank of the Kazinga Channel in the Kyambura Game Reserve, each of Honey Bear’s 5 beautifully appointed tents is set up to take in the views of the channel. You’ll wake up to hippos splashing in the water, or better yet, herds of elephants coming down to swim.
A large, airy mess tent with a dining area and sitting room delivers the comfort one expects from a Wildplaces property. Honey Bear is currently the only camp inside the entire reserve and is accessible by boat – privacy and exclusivity are second to none, and the magic of the bush is truly celebrated.
