Day by Day Itinerary details

Day 1: Arrive at Entebbe International Airport
Arrive at Entebbe where you will be picked up by your GoExplore Safaris Driver guide and have you transferred to Kampala for -/+45 minutes

Day 2: Drive from Kampala to Bwindi Forest
After your morning breakfast, meet and greet your guide at the hotel, thereafter start a panoramic ride south west of Kampala to Bwindi Impenetrable National park. You will have a stopover at the Equator for photographs; thereafter proceed, passing through the savannah grass land with the long horned Ankole cows grazing along the road. Stop over for lunch at Mbarara town and thereafter descend to the beautiful Kigezi hills commonly known as the "Switzerland of Africa". Arrival at Haven Lodge later in the evening for dinner. Have enough rest as you prepare for an adventurous Gorilla Tracking activity the next day.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking
Start the day with an early served breakfast as you prepare yourself for an encounter with the rare mountain gorilla. For most people this is the absolute highlight of their tour in Uganda. Drive to the starting point of the Gorilla tracking where you will receive a briefing about what will transpire during the tracking. Enter the gorilla sanctuary for your adventure. The time you spend searching for the Gorilla can be as short as 4 hours or as long as the 8 hours but you can only be allowed to spend a maximum of one hour with the endangered species. This is the time to take photos and ask the guide any questions about the seemingly tedious yet rewarding experience. In case you have some time after the tracking, you can conduct community walk that involves visiting the native Batwa community to have cultural experience.

Day 4: Drive from Bwindi to Queen Elizabeth
Very early in the morning you will have your breakfast and later your driver will transfer you from Bwindi to Queen Elizabeth passing through the hills of Kanungu and entering queen Elizabeth national park from the Ishasha sector and if lucky we shall be able to spot the tree climbing lions while arriving at your lodge in the evening

Day 5: Game Drive and Afternoon Boat cruise
Very early in the morning have breakfast and drive through Ishasha sector once again in search of the tree climbing lions later in the midmorning drive from Ishasha to Mweya for a boat cruise in the afternoon along Kazinga channel where you will spot various animals and reptiles as well with an encounter of the bird’s sanctuary

Day 6: Drive from Queen Elizabeth to Kibale forest Park
You will have another short game drive in the morning and later drive from Queen Elizabeth later drive heading to Kibale forest National park home to the Chimpanzees famously known as primate’s capital, depending on arrival time we shall visit the top of the world in Fortportal

Day 7: Chimpanzee tracking
After breakfast you will go for chimp trekking Kibale’s 1450 chimpanzees represent Uganda’s largest population of this endangered primate, during the trekking you will spot primates like white colobus monkeys, Elephants. Return to the lodge for lunch. Later in the afternoon go a nature walk at Bigodi sanctuary which is rich in fauna and flora as well as quenching the birder’s thirst since it offers a variety of bird species such as African Pitta, Green-breasted Pitta, Afep Pigeon, White-napped Pigeon, Crowned Eagle, Red-chested Owlet, Black Bee-eater, Western Nicator, Yellow-rumped Tinker bird, Little Greenbul and Brown-chested Alethe among others. In the afternoon visit the crater lakes around fort portal to the top of the world later drive back to lodge for dinner.

Day 8: Drive from Kibale to Murchison falls National Park
You will have an early morning breakfast and later drive from Kibale heading to Murchison falls park Ugandas’ largest national park arriving in the early evening where you will visit the top of the falls and have an evening game drive while driving to your lodge

Day 9: Game Drive and Boat cruise
You will have breakfast at the lodge early in the morning, later your driver will transfer you from the lodge for a rewarding game drive in the morning which is the best time to spot the animals once again then drive back to the lodge for relaxation and have lunch then head for a boat cruise in the afternoon which is scheduled at 14:00hrs where the boat will take you to the bottom of the falls and bring you back as we head back to the lodge we enjoy another evening game drive.

Day 10: Drive from Murchison falls to Jinja
Very early morning drive from drive from Murchison with your guide arriving in Jinja in the early evening and relaxing in the evening

Day 11: From Jinja to Lake Nakuru National park
Have breakfast in the Morning and embark on your journey to lake Nakuru national park where you will have a stop at the boarder to pass through immigration process and later proceed to Kenya arriving at lake Nakuru in the evening
Naivasha Sopa Lodge – Full Board

Day 12: Lake Nakuru and Drive to Masai Mara Game Reserve
Early morning you will have your breakfast and visit the lake where the flamingos reside and drive around the park for more wildlife around later in the afternoon drive from Nakuru to Masai Maara national park
Mara Bush Camp – Full board

Day 13: Game Drive in Masai Maara
Breakfast at 0630hrs then proceed for a morning game drive to see the park when most active. Break for lunch at camp or alternatively carry packed picnic lunch to eat during game drives. Afternoon game drives to explore the new 8th wonder of the world. Cultural visit to a Masai village can be organized at a small extra cost. Balloon safaris are available on request and take place early in the morning before sunrise. More optional activities are available at the camp such as guided nature walks. Evening transfer back to accommodation for dinner and rest
Mara Bush Camp – Full board

Day 14: Drive from Masai Maara to Nairobi
After breakfast and an early morning game drive you will return to Nairobi by road with a picnic lunch (5 hours) to connect with your international flight back home.
