Buffalo Springs National Reserve
Kenya

Buffalo Springs National Park is located in the arid region of northeastern Kenya. It is part of the Samburu National Reserve, which was established in 1988 to protect wildlife and its habitats. The park is home to a variety of animals, including various species of antelope, elephant, giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, lion, cheetah, and leopard. Buffalo Springs is also home to a wide range of bird species, making it a great destination for bird watching. The park is also known for its large population of Somali ostrich. Visitors can explore the park on foot, by vehicle, or by boat, and the park is open all year round, but the best time to visit is between June and September when the temperatures are cooler and the vegetation is in bloom.
