There is something about safari life that makes you forget all your sorrows and feel as if you had drunk half a bottle of champagne — bubbling over with heartfelt gratitude for being alive

How we Organise hustle-free safaris

We've spent decades working and travelling in Africa. We've led groups through Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda and Kenya, designed incredible itineraries to East Africa. It's a region we're extremely passionate about. There's something intoxicating about East Africa.

We travel so as to explore, gain perspective and better understand our world and our place within it.

Africa will invariably throw challenges your way. Our goal is to support you at every stage of your journey. We want to minimise the hassle that too often clouds explorations of the continent, and use our depth of knowledge to design and deliver once-in-a-lifetime adventures with exceptional experiences.

We will draft your itinerary with you, starting from your tastes and specific interests, so it will be tailored to meet your needs and expectations.

By talking, we can get a better understanding of you so we can create the right sort of trip. Don’t worry if you haven’t got a clue on where to go or if you’re a safari aficionado, we will put together the best itineraries for you. You let us know what suits and together we can keep tweaking until we end up with exactly what (perhaps you didn’t know) you really wanted.

Your Next steps to book

Please phone us at any stage to discuss your holiday requirements – but the sooner the better. We want you to get the right trip but this depends largely on your brief and availability. We can plan as many itinerary options as is reasonably required. We will email these to you for your consideration. Accommodation and domestic flights often get booked up in advance, especially in peak periods, so we recommend you consider your options very quickly.

We profile your needs by stepping into your shoes, provide unbiased, honest and clear, yet personalised information backed by knowledgeable service (we have travelled on all the routes).

We specialise in tailor made, high quality African safaris away from the crowds. You may be going on safari for the first time and not know where to start, in which case we will spend as long as it takes to design an itinerary to suit your wishes. Or, if you are an experienced safari traveller looking for something different, we can advise you on new discoveries we have made through our own extensive travels. Even if you have only got a preliminary idea, we are very happy to talk to you at the earliest stage of planning.

Once an itinerary is agreed we will give you a detailed quote. To confirm arrangements, we ask you to complete our booking form and return it with a 30% deposit. Final payment is due 12 weeks before departure. We accept payment by cheque, debit or credit card, or bank transfer.

This is how we will plan your trip smoothly.

01

Tell us the trip you want

To start with, give us a sketchy plan, activities, dates and number of travellers on your trip.

02

We will give you a call

The goal of our first conversation is to get to know you. We will ask you questions about your travel style, where you have travelled in the past, your specific interests and your intended budget for your journey. After we have worked through this process we will both have a better idea of what you want to do.

03

Chat with our safari Expert

Our safari expert will continue to engage you to extract the missed out information in the sketchy you plan you shared

04

We craft your personalised safari

At this stage we will start narrowing down the hundreds of safari lodges or hotels you can choose from. We will discuss the exact number of nights you need to spend in each location and why, and the activities in each area. We chat about flights, the best way to get you in and out of each location (our goal is to get you quickly from one area to the next,) which may mean spending a little more on the most direct flight – ultimately giving you more game viewing time! With this all narrowed down you will then hear from us typically within one to two days with a full detailed itinerary that outlines what we discussed and your proposed tour cost. This is not set in stone, just meant to give you the first sample of what may be possible.

05

Add in the little details

Once we know where you are going, we then work with you on tours, dining, and other activities. We give you our personal ideas and suggestions because we know it is these details which ultimately make your safari complete. With all this in place we will then confirm your accommodations and at this time require a trip deposit which is 40% of the total safari price with gorilla permits, chimpanzee permits and golden monkey permits payment in full for their early reservations. Final payment is due 45 days prior to your departure and you will receive an invoice prior to that time.

06

Fine tune your Safari

We will continue to fine tune your journey, for example making dinner reservations, booking additional tours or activities, that’s what we are here for and we will continue to tweak until you are 100% satisfied with your safari.

07

Book your Journey

After paying your 40% of the total cost deposit, we will confirm your hotel reservations, internal flights, gorilla permits, chimpanzee permits, activities and all other reservations that we have to make for your trip

08

Prepare for your safari

Within 20 days, After receiving your deposit and confirming your trip, we will send you a preparation Package that will include your detailed itinerary, packing list, etc. Two weeks prior to your departure we will send you your final itinerary, contact details (phone numbers of our contacts who will be taking care of you along the way, emergency contacts and our after-hours numbers), E-tickets and copies of this information for your friends & family.
