The Photography Safari That Plans Around Light Not Parks

While on your Gorilla trekking experience, among the many tourism activities that can be done while on a safari in Uganda, some activities should never be missed on your bucket list. Gorillas are among the few unique primate families that we have in the whole world and being specific, these unique creatures all over Africa can only be traced in only four national parks namely, Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda, Virunga National Park in DRC, Mgahinga National Park in Uganda and not leaving out the most favourable place to do the gorilla trekking which is Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, National Park.

Gorilla Trekking as an activity involves hiking through the dense rainforest in search of an allocated gorilla family, and this takes about three to six hours. Once encountered, these beautiful, unique creatures, one is allowed to spend 25 to 30 minutes around them, admiring their beauty and unique human-like way of living in their natural habitats. Gorillas cannot survive anywhere unless they are in their natural habitats, so the only way to get in touch with any of these creatures is when one engages in gorilla trekking. A certificate of participation is given to anyone who carries out gorilla trekking as a reward for taking part in the activity.

The most favourable time to carry out gorilla trekking is between the months of June and August, more so if one is looking at visiting Uganda. For the tourists whose interest is also in community support, some of the funds paid to have the gorilla experience are used to give back to support the communities close to where these gorillas live, and these funds help in the development of these communities. Gorilla trekking is one not to miss for very adventurous tourists because of the long walks and hikes through the dense rainforests.

When one carries out gorilla trekking, they are contributing to the conservation efforts of protecting these endangered species. For those trekking within Uganda, the permit goes for seven hundred US Dollars, while in Rwanda, a permit costs one thousand five hundred US Dollars.

What to carry while on your gorilla trekking experience includes garden gloves, binoculars, since you get a chance to see various bird species as well, comfortable hiking shoes, long trousers, and a long-sleeved shirt.
