Magical Kenya
Long before the word safari entered the world's vocabulary, Kenya was already writing the definition. This is the country where the great wildlife adventure began where the open plains of the Maasai Mara still pulse with the oldest migration on Earth, where the snow-capped summit of Mount Kenya rises improbably above the equator, and where the red dust of Amboseli carries the silhouettes of elephant herds against the impossible backdrop of Kilimanjaro. Kenya did not invent wild Africa. But it gave the world the language to love it. The Maasai Mara is Kenya's most iconic stage a vast, golden grassland in the southwest where the annual Great Migration delivers millions of wildebeest and zebra in a crossing of the Mara River that is simultaneously brutal, spectacular, and completely addictive. Crocodiles the size of boats wait in the shallows. Lions pace the far bank. And the animals come anyway, because they always do, because they have no choice, because this is the oldest rhythm on Earth and it does not stop for anything. To witness it is to understand, in your bones, what wild means. But Kenya is far larger and more various than the Mara alone. The Laikipia Plateau offers…
The Laikipia Plateau offers some of Africa's most innovative and community-led conservation, with rhinos, wild dogs, and lions sharing private conservancy land with Maasai and Samburu communities. Amboseli delivers elephant herds so large and so close that photography becomes almost irrelevant the scale simply overwhelms the frame. The Samburu reserve in the north shelches unique species the Grevy's zebra, reticulated giraffe, and gerenuk found nowhere else on the safari circuit. And the Swahili coast, where Kenya spills into the Indian Ocean in a wash of white sand, coral reef, and centuries of Arab-African history, offers the perfect final chapter to any Kenya journey.
This is a country that earns its reputation every single day. Come for the migration. Stay for everything else.
Season guide
Kenya is a year-round safari destination, with seasonal changes influencing wildlife movements and overall travel experiences. Its varied landscapes from savannah to highlands offer something unique in every season. The dry seasons, from June to October and January to February, are considered the best times to visit. During these months, wildlife gathers around water sources, vegetation is thinner, and game viewing is at its peak. This period also coincides with the Great Migration in the Maasai Mara. The green seasons, from March to May and November to December, bring lush scenery, fewer crowds, and excellent birdwatching opportunities. While some areas may experience rain, the landscapes are vibrant and ideal for photography.
Warm and dry; excellent wildlife viewing across parks

Tourist visas can be bought in advance via the embassy or consulate in your country or simply purchased upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport or at any overland border.
Photos are not required and a single entry tourist visa costs US$ 50 per person for up to 90 days stay in Uganda. If you are planning to combine Uganda with a visit to Rwanda or Kenya it is recommendable to request for the East African Tourist Visa instead of a single entry visa. This special visa costs US$100 per person and allows a 90-days multiple entry to Uganda, Rwanda and Kenya. Regretfully, Tanzania is not (yet) a member of the East African community and therefore not part of this special visa arrangement.
Kenya is famous for classic safaris and the Great Migration in the Maasai Mara National Reserve
Always respect wild animals:
1.Never feed a wild animal unless as part of an official rehabilitation program.
2.Keep a respectable distance and if the animal shows signs of fear or aggressiveness, back off immediately and give the animal plenty of space to move on.
3.Avoid chasing or following wildlife that is attempting to escape. Keep watching times to a reasonable length to avoid stressing the animals.
4.Move slowly, quietly, and in full view to avoid scaring or stressing animals.
5.Avoid touching animals unless part of a carefully structured research or conservation program that has the required permits.
6.Avoid captive wildlife facilities unless they actively support reintroduction to the wild or take in animals that would not be able to return to the wild (see below for more specific captive wildlife guidelines).
7.Follow the Guide or park ranger guidelines to reduce human impact on wild places.
