Some of Serengeti National Park Must things to see and do

The Great Wildebeest Migration
The great wildebeest migration begins from the south of Serengeti National Park with the birth of half a million calves between January and March, the air in these months is full of life and action and the most favourable for most guides. Predators like lions and hyenas move around hunting the calves though thousands of calves are still born throughout the weeks. During June, the dry season begins with large numbers of the wildebeest in the western Serengeti and the southern banks of the Grumeti river, each migrating animal must face the challenge of crossing the crocodile-infested river. As June moves into July, the hundreds of thousands of wildebeest and zebra continue to head north along the western edge of the park which is even riskier for the herds.
