TSAVO EAST NATIONAL PARK · Mid-Range
Kilaguni Serena Safari Lodge offers a collection of stone-built rooms and suites overlooking either a central waterhole or the Chyulu Hills, providing a comfortable and well-established safari base with consistent wildlife viewing directly from the property.
Kilaguni Serena Safari Lodge is set within Tsavo West National Park, positioned against the backdrop of the Chyulu Hills with distant views toward Mount Kilimanjaro. One of its defining features is a natural waterhole located directly in front of the lodge, which regularly attracts elephants, buffalo, and other wildlife throughout the day.
The lodge is one of the oldest established safari properties in Kenya’s national parks, built using volcanic stone and designed to blend into the surrounding landscape. Its layout centres around open terraces and viewing areas that overlook the waterhole, creating a constant connection to wildlife even when guests are not on game drives.
The experience here is more relaxed and observation-focused compared to mobile camps, with game drives complemented by time spent at the lodge watching animals gather at the water. Its accessibility and structured setup make it a practical base for exploring Tsavo West while still offering a classic safari atmosphere.
Check-in 12:00 PM, check-out 10:00 AM. Full board or half board available. Accessible by road or nearby airstrip. Full Wi-Fi and grid power. Pool, spa, and shared facilities available. Suitable for families and groups.
